In 1919, Hamilton’s aeronautical watch accompanied the fist U.S. Airmail between Washington and New York.
Since then the company has established itself among the aviation lovers, it presents today its new limited edition of the Khaki X-Wind, a watch with a sophisticated design, with the idea of a flight instrument in order to satisfy the fans and most successful experts of aviation.
It is equipped with a drift angle indicator, which calculates the angle of correction so that the plane doesn’t get off its path when encountering strong crosswinds. In addition, the skeleton-shaped needles remind of a cockpit of an airplane.
This exclusive Hamilton collection also highlights the multidimensional character of the watch. The dial features a dazzling 3D effect: its enhanced engineering includes a multilevel structure that facilitates the location of each of the indicators.
The Hamilton watch Khaki X-Wind Limited Edition features four models which are differentiated by the colours of the dials (one is of black and dark grey satin, the other of dark grey and silver satin with sunburst effect) and the bracelet (a sportive version with a black rubber strap and a H-shaped buckle, or a more classic and elegant version of stainless steel).
All of them are quipped with the new automatic caliber with the H-21 chronograph function, manufactured in Switzerland with 60 hours of power reserve.
However, the watch gets the centennial aviation heritage of Hamilton to become a piece that combines traditional watchmaking with the contemporary style. This limited edition of 1.999 units will certainly be a demand for pilots and future pilots around the world. It will soon be available in Zapata Jewellers.
